Diwali, the festival of lights, falls on Sunday, November 8, 2026, with five days of celebration from Dhanteras on Friday, November 6 to Bhai Dooj on Tuesday, November 10. For many families in Durham Region and across the GTA, it is also a week of travel: flights home to celebrate, or parents and grandparents landing at Pearson to spend the festival with you.
We want the airport part of your week to be the easy part. So until Sunday, November 15, 2026, we are taking 10% off the base fare of your airport ride with the code DIWALI10.

Picking up family at Pearson
Long flights often land late, and customs and baggage take time after a long trip. The calmest way to welcome family is to book their ride as soon as you know the flight.
- Booked 24 hours or more ahead: includes 2 hours of free wait time! It counts from when the flight actually lands, so add the flight number when you book.
- Booked less than 24 hours ahead: includes 30 mins free wait. (Tip: book the pickup for 45 mins after landing.)
If your parents' flights are already booked, book their ride today too. You get the longer free wait, and the code saves you 10% of the base fare. Pickups at Pearson and Billy Bishop start from 2:30 a.m., so a late-night landing is fine.

Room for the whole family, and the gifts
Diwali visits come with suitcases full of sweets, clothes and gifts. Pick the vehicle that fits your group:
- Midsize SUV: 4 passengers, 2–3 checked bags
- Full Size SUV: 6 passengers with 4 carry-ons, or 4 passengers with 6 checked bags
- Mini Van: 6 passengers, up to 6 checked bags
Travelling with little ones? Car seats are free. Choose a Newborn, Toddler or Booster seat on the booking form (1 per booking) at least 24 hours before pickup.
Flying out to celebrate
Heading home for the festival? Book your ride to the airport when you book your flight.
- Pickups run from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. Rides to the airport from Bowmanville and points east start from 3 a.m.
- At your door, rides to the airport include 30 mins free wait when booked 24 hours or more ahead, and 15 mins when booked less than 24 hours ahead.
- Toronto Pearson suggests arriving about 90 minutes before a domestic flight and 3 to 4 hours before an international one. Choose your pickup time with that in mind.

Coming back after the festival? Choose a round trip and add your return date, time and flight number, so both rides are set before you leave.

- Pay securely by card. Your price is fixed and HST is included.
